[05 Dec 2005|10:12pm] OH MY HEARTTTT it's hurting sooooooo fierce right now I just sor a commercial for FALL OUT BOY the "break out band of 2005" oh sweet moses a full 30 seconds of sugar and then like 10 of dance dance. buy it for $12.99 at music world. ouch. I'd rather pay $22.99 and keep it secret. they just keep driving that stake further and further with all the radio ads and tv spots. I miss andy and joe and pete and patrick. oh and ps: Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! Last Friday I put money in dryad19's expired parking meter (14 points). In January I farted in an elevator (-6 points). mere observations [04 Dec 2005|08:29pm] [ mood | gellin still ] [ music | "the pros and cons of breathing" - fall out boy ] as I was driving to loblaws to pick up my tofurky (YESSS!!! victory is mine! do you have any idea how long I've been hunting this tofurky down? and now I'll have one for christmas) I was listening to the american top 40 and americans censor soooo much of their music. stupid little things in every song are changed, like instead of saying "pissed" in one song it was like "made me angry" and not "don't phunk with my heart" but "don't mess with my heart". dunno why they'd go to so much trouble, people swear all the time on the edge (in the songs, not the dj's) anyhow, tomorrow is the first of the mid-term exams. I have polisci: global networks in the same building as colin (friend of ray) so pray for me! should be alright though, cos pretty much as long as you can back up what you're saying, you can't go wrong. oh, and I need ideas for something cool/special for my 18th birthday cos my mum wants to know what to get me, and I have no clue 1. so long and goodnight

[20 Nov 2005|11:12pm] ah. as anticipated, monday brings a wave of stress-free air into my life. I finally finished my paper on the reforms of the un (it's like 17 pages long. it's my biggest paper to date) and I feel really good about it. handing it in tomorrow will be awesome. reform of the UN paper I've been fretting about this whole ray situation for days. I know I shouldn't, cos I've done all I can (short of actually asking him out, which I won't/can't do) so I guess it's out of my hands. bah but it makes me nervous. how I wish someone would put me out of my misery one way or another. Just go, run away And when you go, run don't walk You never really got it No you never really got it. one more thing. the next person who says 'oh you're only 17. you'll change your mind in a while' about me not drinking/smoking/doing drugs etc I swear they might lose an eye. ray-day success [17 Nov 2005|08:01pm] [ mood | ecstatic and all lovey-dovey ] [ music | survivor ] today I finally worked up the courage to talk to ray, this bloke I've been pining over from school...he's in my polisci class in con hall, in my history lectures and my history tutorial. so after weeks of oh I should go and talk to him and every single person on my contact list yelling at me to do something, I finally did. we were leaving emmanuel college and he went through the doors just before I did and he kinda held the door as he was out it kinda deal y'know? and so I was thinking to myself I can do this. just go and talk to him. so I was like 5 feet behind him (and his friend colin, who's a nice guy), and it was just starting to flurry, like something out of a movie laura: hey, ray? ray: yeah? laura: can I tell you something? ray: sure laura: I think you're handsome ray: you think I'm handsome? laura: yeah I do ray: well thanks, that's put my spirits all up in the air laura: yeah, well have a nice weekend! today's been such a great day...I got 85% on this history paper I wrote, and I think the u of t average is like a 60...then I got 6/8 on this intro to cinema test...then I handed in that freakin parallax view paper. I'd say life is treating me pretty good. I really hope ray does something, cos then life would be way too cool. guess I'll just have to wait! I've been working on this stupid ass american popular film paper since I got home at 5 pm tonight. it's now 11:30. not bad I guess, considering I had done no research or anything before hand. so now it's done and out of the way, I hand it in on thursday. I've got wannabe blisters on my wrists. and cos I know you're dying to read it I've uploaded it (ok, please someone read it and tell me if it's at all coherant...please?) the parallax view reception study paper now all that's left is my polisci research paper on the cons of the WHO (due this monday) and then a book report on the marriage of figaro (due dec 1, so I can worry a bit later) oi. bio labs tomorrow. mean I'm at school for like 11 hours. not entirely fun. oh. and it's supposed to be another miserable day. all rain and cold, maybe some sleet and flurries thrown in to piss me off on the one day of the week when I have to walk all over campus. nice weather gods, real nice. shhh...coldplay tickets go on sale this saturday and me and liz are sooooo going! 2. so long and goodnight
